Security problem for Internet Explorer

Posted by Jacque on December 16th, 2008

ie-logog.pngLifehacker, and other blogs, are reporting that “a serious scripting hack that can grab passwords (or, potentially, do worse) from any version of Internet Explorer is leading security and malware experts to suggest switching from Internet Explorer to Firefox, Chrome, Opera, or any other browser, if only for the time being.”

Microsoft is working on a fix.  You can set your IE security to “high” if you don’t want to switch browsers.

I just installed a fix for the security problem in IE. It is available from the Windows Update Center.
