Understand, follow election results

Electoral system in Plain English
Need to explain how U.S. presidents are really elected — to your kids, students, yourself?  Common Craft created this wonderful video as part of their “in plain English” series earlier this year but you may not have noticed it until we arrived at this pivotal election day.

Watching election results
There are any number of ways to keep track of election results today.  Nearly every broadcast network and a number of cable networks will have continuous results as polls begin to close.

One of the web-based ways is the Google Elections Gallery which will show real-time results on a map.  You can look at the whole U.S. or mouse over a state.  Congressional results will be shown as well as the presidential race.
