With the addition of Boston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Detroit, and Providence, Google Maps now has 23 cities with Street View imagery.
In addition, panoramas can now be embedded in websites and blogs with a few steps.
“The panorama works just like it does in Google Maps, allowing visitors to your site to pan, zoom, and move between panoramas as they travel down a street. Much like embeddable Google Maps and YouTube videos, embedding a panorama is simple and only requires cutting and pasting a snippet of HTML,” says Google Lat Long Blog.
Here’s how: Go to Google Maps and find a panorama you like in one of the cities with Street View imagery. Click on “link to this page and copy the text you see in the second box. Then paste that text into a blog editor or the HTML of a webpage. Google uses an <iframe> “so it works on most blog hosting sites like Blogger.”
