Pew study: Parent and Teen Internet Use
Posted by Jacque on November 3rd, 2007
Pew Internet & American Life Project has released a new study on teens, parents and the Internet. Teens are more likely than their parents to say that the Internet, cell phones, iPods, and digital cameras have made their lives easier. The study compares attitudes in 2006 with those from a 2004 survey.
Parents check up on and regulate their teens’ media use, not just in terms of the Internet, but with television and video games as well. However, those rules lean slightly more towards the content of the media rather than the time spent with the media device. The 11 page PDF can be found here.
