Here is PC Magazine’s list of the top 100 classic sites in 2007. These are established sites and generally best-of-breed in their respective categories which include info and reference, lifestyle, money and more.
The magazine says its method of selecting the top sites produces an impartial and quality-based list instead of being merely popularity-based, though a site’s popularity and influence does factor into the voting.
