Writing Links & Links for Writers gives us dozens of high quality writing resources in one place.  A look at “Word Stuff” [via Lifehacker] shows links to dictionaries, style guides, copy editing, indexing, slang and much more.

Plus, check out their other resources for writers, including links to online submission guidelines, agents, and other useful information.

Use SimplifyMedia and iTunes media player (for Mac or Windows) in order to access and play music loaded on one computer from another over the Internet, suggests Amit Agarwal at Digital Inspiration.

Most folks are familiar with iTunes — even those of us who don’t use Apple products may already have it downloaded.  SimplifyMedia says it is free, easy, safe and legal.  The 4MB download installs quickly.  All you have to do is select music folders to share.  It connects automatically when you sign in on a second computer or accept an invitation.

You can browse and play music from home and the office, invite others to access your music, but you can’t use the service to copy music from one computer to another or to an iPod.
