Search for public libraries, schools, colleges

Posted by Jacque on July 14th, 2007

You can use the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) to find information on public libraries, or schools and colleges in the U.S.  The NCES is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education.

You can search by a number of elements, but they suggest you keep it simple when doing a name search to get the best results.  To target searches, use more search parameters.  Search results are sorted by name within institution, but you may choose to sort by state or city.  [via Lifehacker
